What an incredibly bitter piece, just full of unnecessary snips.

At this point does anyone expect anything different from this particular Matt?

Putting aside the childish and petty commentary throughout the post, 5 of the 7 points of "Critical feedback" aren't even feedback at all.
1. I have a colleague named emdash
2. I think it's well made
3. I think some people will use this
6. The skills are a good idea. We should do the same.
7. You copied things that we plan to kill. But I won't say which things, despite the primacy of open source and democratization.
And the actual feedback was weak
4. Ui not great. Totally doesn't meet WordPress' famously great Ui.
5. Should have used the fabulous Gutenberg rather than tinymce
(I actually agree with #5 though - it was my first observation. Doesn't necessarily need to use Gutenberg, but some sort of graphical page/post builder)
And he backs up his claim that they haven't solved plugin security by saying "oh actually they have, but only if you use it on cloudflare, which surely you would. And should, because I own cloudflare stock"
Par for the course from the internet's most narcissistic Matt.

> That, by the way, I think we’ll be able to fix in the next 18 months with AI. The plugin security only works on Cloudflare.
Hear, hear. I expect the same from app stores, but I haven't seen anyone announce it.
